Humio is the creator of the Humio live observability platform that enables data aggregation, exploration, reporting and analysis from a range of sources. The purpose-built logging tool features innovative data storage and in-memory search/query engine technologies.
Humio is a London-based company. Humio has offices in London, Aarhus, San Francisco, and Seattle, and has employees working remotely in places around the world.
The Humio story
Christian Hvidtved and Kresten Krab officially founded Humio in 2016 in Aarhus, Denmark, when they brought on Geeta Schmidt as CEO. In early 2016, they released its first product, Humio.
They built Humio as an alternative to existing logging solutions that were missing key elements they needed to achieve results that couldn’t be done with traditional log management tools. Humio is about getting you back to feeling the hum of your systems by exploring, iterating, and understanding all logs.
Humio has had a total of $32 million in funding, with the latest Series B round in March 2020, led by Dell Technologies Capital. The company has more than 80 employees located around the world, and offices in San Francisco, Boston, Seattle, Austin, London, and Aarhus, Denmark.
