Looking back at 2019
Our customers, users, partners, and employees made 2019 our best year ever
2019 was an extraordinary year for Humio. We are so grateful to have such a supportive group of customers, users, and partners, and we appreciate your encouragement in 2019. Thank you for being part of our success!
Improving the Humio platform
We started the year launching Humio version 1.2.4, and since then, we created dozens of improvements that bring us to version 1.7. We updated the platform with several features that improved the platform and addressed customer needs. Here’s a sample of key updates:
Growing our base of customers and partners
We began working with several partners in 2019, and continued our relationship with others, including Confluent, Corelight, cPacket Networks, Demisto, Instana, Lightbend, LimaCharlie, Microsoft for Startups, and PagerDuty. In addition, we began working with several reseller partners, including EverSec Group, GuidePoint Security, IBM Registered Business Partner, Kloia, Netic, Optiv, Pondurance, SHI, SLEXN, solutions4networks, and Trifork. We’re grateful for your support, and we look forward to many successful years ahead as partners.
Adding Humio employees around the world
Since receiving Series A funding early this year, we added dozens of new employees around the world, in engineering, support, sales, marketing, and other important functions. We wouldn’t be anywhere near where we are if it wasn’t for all the hard work, dedication, and experience each one of them puts towards making our customers and partners successful. We’re lucky to have such a talented team.
Growing our presence in the market
With the help of our leadership team, our sales and marketing teams, and HR, we made more of an impact in the marketplace.
Our CEO, Geeta Schmidt was named one of the top women entrepreneurs in cloud innovation.
We were included in Thoughtworks Technology Radar, noting that Humio is built from the ground up to be super fast at both log ingestion and query.
We attended conferences around the world, where we shared our story, including SecureWorld, Gartner Catalyst, DevOps Days, Cybersecurity & Cloud Expo, SRECon, PagerDuty Summit, MIDMRKT CIO Forum, ZeekWeek, QCon, and KubeCon.
We hosted and attended meetups, including GOTO, CloudNative, and the CTO Roundtable.
We updated our website and our logo to better reflect our brand.
We published lots of articles, videos, and blog posts to help our customers and inform the marketplace.
We started The Hoot podcast, and published a dozen episodes where we visit with customers, partners, and colleagues.
We were featured in articles and partner posts from across the industry.

We look forward to 2020
We all eagerly look forward to 2020. Our team of engineers is already working on features that will improve our platform and make things easy for our users. Our sales and support teams are working on ways to help our customers find even more value in their infrastructure data. We can’t wait to meet new customers and bring them on board, and share what we know with them. And we anticipate working even more closely with our partners in the months ahead.
Thanks again for being part of our journey! Best wishes for a happy new year!
